Arrived by a happy accident in 2021 and never left.
Harry Smiles came to Saving Animals & Healing Hearts already a senior back in 2021. Landing here by accident through a case of mistaken identity. We were working with another sanctuary and pulled a pig from a high-kill shelter that was to stay with us temporarily. However, to our surprise, when the pig arrived, it was a completely different pig! There was absolutely no way we were sending him back to the shelter, so Mr. Harry Smiles has been here ever since. What a happy accident it was for him and for us. Now, Harry spends his days doing exactly what he loves most… quietly relaxing, enjoying the cool grass on sunny afternoons, and soaking up the safety and care that every rescued animal deserves.
